Thanks to our Pacific Islands Artifact Makers for sharing!

We held our first lunchtime student maker event in the library, and it was GREAT!

We learned about Kazu's lauhala (pandanus) weaving project.

Tahiti explained how she made her leiomano (shark tooth weapon).

Sophia described the making of her kapa (fabric).

Steven spoke about his Marshallese navigation stick chart.

Thank you so much for sharing, everyone. Excellent job!

A special mahalo goes out to Mrs. Kathy Czar, for nurturing the maker spirit in her students.

Everyone's a maker.
